A Baby Planner (a.k.a. Maternity Concierge, Maternity Consultant, Pregnancy Consultant) is a non-biased support partner to help expecting parents prepare for their baby. I tailor my services to help with everything non-medical related to baby prep. I help you understand the baby gear you will need for a newborn. I look at your personal lifestyle and recommend reading and other resources like online classes to take. I also provide in-home services like nursery organization and baby planning consultations to help get the right stations and gear prepped for the baby. Most importantly, I am a support partner to help you sift through the clutter and overwhelm of online lists, opinions, and biases.
Wedding planners help you plan for a wedding right? Baby planners help you plan for a baby. A wedding is an event that transforms your life and a baby is an even bigger event that transforms your life. You are busy and this may be new territory for you. In the absence of a resource like a parent, sibling, or friend who is highly trusted and has the time and skills to help you plan, a maternity concierge is a great option. When it comes to baby gear, we have tried and tested it all either personally or through our wide network of parents and know what the best products are - you can find lists online but many of them are paid for by the very products on the lists so how do you know it’s trusted? As for resources and mental preparation, we have read all the books and continue to stay up to date on the latest data so we can tailor your reading lists to your lifestyle and clean out the clutter. This all saves you time and money so you don’t buy things you don’t need or read things that don’t fit your family’s lifestyle.

If saving money is your goal, and especially if you have a cluttered registry, we can often save you more than the cost of this service! Sometimes, if a registry is really bare, we may need to add cost to our recommendations to make sure you have the basics covered. However, we also offer options and advice for buying items secondhand, which can really save you money.
